About Us

Medicine and Health is an international open-access journal operated and published by the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. The journal charges a standard article processing fee to the authors, while the readers can access all the articles published for free. The journal is published twice a year  (Jan and July) in electronic format. The journal publishes invited editorials, reviews, original research papers, interesting case reports and clinical quiz. All submitted manuscripts are subjected to a rigorous peer review process (single-blinded) by at least two independent reviewers in the specialised field. Articles are published in English language. In addition, an abstract in Bahasa Malaysia is also published for all the articles except editorials and clinical quiz. 

The journal welcomes advertisements from interested parties. However, the editorial board maintains its independence, and all editorial decisions are made free from the influence of sponsors, advertisers, and marketers, or any political interest.
